The Nashville Scene has a moving tribute to our captain:

Stop by Instapundit once a day and you’ll get a nice digest of the very latest highlights of the Web without having to surf around aimlessly. Make a habit of it, and you may wind up getting breaking news before most anyone else. In fact, on a recent Saturday morning, if you had checked out Instapundit, you would have learned about the space shuttle Columbia’s mid-air disintegration before the story had even hit the air on at least one of the broadcast networks.

This is precisely what took place for Kathy and me. Got out of bed, checked InstaPundit, and turned on the TV to see the final minutes of the smoke trail.
