When Will She Snap? And Other Reasons to Like Barak Obama

March 16, 2007  ·  Category: Current Events, Politics

Twenty-year-old black youth Donny Lumpkins, explaining just one of many reasons why he’s ready to vote for Barak Obama:

[Hillary] scares me and always has. Ever since I was little she always reminded me of that teacher at school that you knew had issues but weren’t sure how deep rooted they were until she snapped in class and yelled at everyone until she got blue in the face.

Can’t. Quit. Laughing.

Thanks for the tip, Andrew. This, too, is good:

What is [Sharpton's] real objection to Obama? That Obama has white supporters? That Obama has become the first serious black presidential candidate in U.S. history? That he lacks the civil rights bona fides that Sharpton claims for himself?

Or is the real problem that Obama’s biracial appeal has trumped Sharpton’s race card?

I don’t care at all for Barak Obama’s political views. But I think he exudes integrity, and I like that a great deal.
