Andrew Schwartz Is Now Blogging

March 30, 2006 · Filed under: Current Events, Personal

My close friend Andrew Schwartz has started his own blog, “Musings from the Unknown,” and I look forward to devouring every word of it.

If you enjoy the mindfulness and personal development themes I explore on Mudita Journal, then I think you will greatly enjoy Andrew’s perspective on life.

A quick introduction for those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting Andrew:

  • Like many of my close friends, Andrew had a period in his life when he was profoundly influenced by Ayn Rand’s writings, and he continues to share that general philosophical orientation.
  • At the same time, he’s a true integrative thinker, with widely varied interests. He’s his own man.
  • Andrew is a terrific writer. In fact, he was the founding editor of the Atlasphere columns, where he did a wonderful job of setting the bar for the quality and quantity of its content.
  • He shares my interest in Buddhist meditation, has been one of the more active contributors to Mudita Forum, and attended the 2004 Brasington retreat with me.
  • Andrew exemplifies, as much as anyone I know, the idea of a “self-made man.” Few people are as consciously responsible for who they are today, as Andrew is.

So if any of that sounds interesting, drop by and give Andrew’s blog a read. I’m adding him to my blogroll for regular reading here at Mudita Journal.
