Site Launch: Ruth Walsh

August 6, 2003 · Filed under: Web Development

I’ve just finished launching the web site for Albuquerque portrait photographer Ruth Walsh:

I love doing artist web sites, in general, and Ruth’s was particularly enjoyable. It’s fun when the content is so exquisite that the site can simply to serve as an elegant container.

Comments and bug reports are welcome.

I have noticed that the thumbnail photos at the bottom of the gallery pages aren’t centering in IE6. It’s some kind of IE bug, apparently, as it works fine in other browsers. I haven’t been able to get to the bottom of that yet; it seemed to stump the folks in the GoLive users forum, too. I welcome suggestions from any other site developers out there.

UPDATE (8/7/03) – My thanks to Marshall Sontag for telling me how to fix that bug: All it took was removing the width attribute (!) from the container cell around each thumbnail table.
